The Onion Girl is the 8th book in the Newford books, but it doesn't seem to really matter. At least, it wasn't confusing at all. At least, it wasn't confusing at all. As far as I can gather there isn't really a chronological order to the books, since they all follow different characters with storylines that intermingle at one point Excellent/5.
